PROCESSING PRINCIPLE
As temperatures drop, rubber and plastic parts transition into a hardened, brittle, and crystallized state, losing their flexibility. When exposed to brittle temperatures, these materials become susceptible to breakage from external forces. The flash on molded products, being thinner, crystallizes and becomes brittle faster than the product itself at low temperatures. The cryogenic deflashing machine leverages this principle, operating during the time frame when the flash is brittle but the product retains flexibility. High-speed projection of specialized plastic media targets the brittle flash, efficiently clearing it away without damaging the product.
