PROCESSING PRINCIPLE
As temperatures plunge, rubber and plastic parts harden, becoming brittle and crystallized, resulting in a loss of flexibility. At this critical brittle temperature, they fracture easily when subjected to external forces. The thin flash on molded products turns brittle faster than the products themselves in low temperatures. Utilizing this principle, our cryogenic deflashing machine operates in the time window when the flash is brittle, yet the products remain flexible. High-speed projection of specialized plastic media efficiently strikes and dislodges the brittle flash, removing it without damaging the underlying product.
