Introducing the Cryogenic Deflashing Machine for Rubber Trimming by Nitrogen PG-40T
PROCESSING PRINCIPLE
The cutting-edge cryogenic deflashing technology utilizes a sophisticated system where rubber or plastic parts are placed within a machine chamber. These parts are exposed to ultra-low temperatures, achieved through the use of liquid nitrogen, followed by vigorous tumbling in a barrel and being blasted with polycarbonate media.
Due to their significantly thinner surface area compared to their mass, burrs and flashes freeze rapidly, becoming brittle. The tumbling action, combined with the forceful impact of the media, effectively removes these burrs without harming the integrity of the part itself.
Once the process is completed, parts are brought back to room temperature. Cryogenic deburring ensures parts are clean, devoid of dust and other residues, achieving 100% burr removal.
Cryogenic deburring and deflashing are perfect for die-cast metal parts, intricate rubber components, precision elastomeric parts, medical devices, and micro-electronic components.
FUNCTIONS
Our machine is extensively employed for removing the flashes from small rubber and plastic parts, such as O-rings, gaskets, and various molded components.
Utilizing cryogenic processing technology, the flashes are first frozen and then dislodged by high-speed polycarbonate blast media. This markedly enhances the surface quality of molded rubber and plastic parts.

APPLICATIONS
A. O-rings and irregular rubber parts made from various materials and sizes.
B. Components for micro-electronic products.
C. Precision elastomeric parts.
D. Precision injection-molded plastic parts.
E. Research and Development part runs.
F. Die-cast products, including zinc, aluminum, and magnesium alloys.
ADVANTAGES
Cryogenic deflashing offers numerous benefits over manual and traditional deflashing techniques.
The process preserves part integrity and adheres to strict tolerances.
Being a batch process, it significantly reduces the cost per piece as multiple parts can be processed simultaneously.
Cryogenic deflashing prolongs mold life. Instead of replacing or repairing molds, which incurs downtime and high costs, parts can be deflashed even at the end of their product lifecycle.
The computer-controlled process eliminates human error, ensuring precision.
The process guarantees consistent quality from batch to batch.
Cryogenic deflashing is non-abrasive.
The cost per part is generally lower compared to other techniques.
